What are the stats?

Most recent studies estimate that the prevalence of individuals presenting an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) vary between 90 and 120 individuals in 10 000 – or about 1% of the population.

The US health authorities have just revealed that the number of autistic children have increased by 30% between 2008 and 2010! Fortunately, early detection allows better support.

Scientists are unable to explain such an increase, but they found that boys are more affected than girls (5 to 1).
